What our supporters are doing

How you can help Self Help at home

        
Because we believe that it is African people themselves who are best placed to successfully implement the programmes that we are supporting, we do not send volunteers to the field to assist with our work.

However, Self Help is always looking for volunteers to help with our work at home. We need local ambassadors who will promote, and talk about our work, volunteers who will be prepared to give us even one day a year to help with our collections, and other supporters to organise events, run marathons, and provide that supporter link that is vital to the continuing success of our organisation.

WHAT YOUR MONEY ACHIEVES :

€22 is enough to set an African family up to produce enough food

€100 will allow us to plant 1,250 trees, to combat erosion, soil degradation, and provide a ready source of fuel

€250 will provide the training and resources in preparation for the establishment of a community savings and credit co-operative

€1,000 is the average cost of establishing a community rainwater harvesting water source
