Diary of a Field Officer provides readers with a behind the scenes look at the work of one of Self Help's agricultural extension workers, and the challenges that they face in their daily lives
Kenya
Agriculture is the dominant economic sector in Kenya with over 80% of the population dependent on it for their livelihoods.

And despite having a booming capital in Nairobi, many Kenyans are extremely poor, with low standards of living and limited access to social services. Famine conditions due to crop failure affected parts of the country in 2004 and 2005.
